I proudly present, RammelFirdaus.com, my official blog.

It took me a while to get this blog set up and running. At first I only brought the name for only $0.99 with no hosting. I brought it at exabytes.com. At that time I was short on budget to get a hosting package as well.

1 month later, I had saved enough money to get this domain hosted. Thus RammelFirdaus.com Is Born. There where a lot of challenges setting up this blog. Challenge number 1 is to select the perfect theme for this blog that suites my taste.

I’ve downloaded about more than 40 themes just to get the right one. There are a lot of themes out there, mostly 2 column themes. I was searching for a 3 column.  Some theme were great looking, and some aren’t.

Finally after searching, I found the perfect one, BloggingPro Theme 1.0. But at first, it was very dissapointing. It had no widget. At that time, I was thinking to search for another. But then again, the design is perfect.

So I trouble myself searching a way to make it widgetize. I did find a site that teaches ho to widgetise non widget themes. You can go there by clicking here.  It was quite time consuming to read all the instructions.

Suddenly, it just pop out of my head. ” Why not check the main site for that theme?” So  I went to the main site to find updates, and guess what, it has just recently release BloggingPro 1.2, fully widgetize.

The next challenge was installing wordpress. At first I was using Fantastico to easily intalled wordpress. The something went wrong. The functions in the admin page didn’t work properly. I don’t know where I was wrong, so I uninstalled it and installed it manually.

Sucessfully, it was installed. So I change and save few settings. After that, straight away click on the “write” tab to enter post. Then another problem came. It can create catagories.

It’s getting frustrated to unistalled then install it again. So I tried logging in using IE. There was no problem at all. So probably it was the browser I’m using causing it to have problems.
