Traffic Exchange Programs and Google Adsense TOS
Sunday, July 29th, 2007In my previous post, I made an entry about linkreferral.com. A traffic exchange program.
I thought it’s a good way to bring in traffic by increasing your blog rank in it’s members directories by just visiting other blogs and posting a comment inside the members area page.
Then, a reader asked a question, is it against any Google TOS?
I’ve sent an email to Google support and asked them does traffic exchange programs violates any TOS. The answer was, they don’t recommend any traffic exchange programs that bring in more traffic especially if your blogs or website has Adsense.
Your Adsense account might get banned due to unusual activities at your blog. That what they said in the email that they reply back. Conclusion, They didn’t say it violates Google TOS.
Better be safe than sorry. If you still want to bring in traffic without spending a dollar to your blog through LinkReferral.com, you can follow this link. Otherwise, you can used paid service like Google Adwords or textlinkads.

—————————— ————– Hi,
Thanks for your email. I understand that you’d like to have more traffic
visiting your site. However, while we’re unable to comment on any
particular program or service, we do not recommend the use of any traffic
exchange programs for increasing your site traffic. Use of traffic
exchanges may lead to activity on your site that artificially inflates an
advertiser’s cost or a publisher’s earnings, which would violate the
AdSense program policies (https://www.google.com/adsense/policies) and
Terms and Conditions (https://www.google.com/adsense/terms). We recommend that you periodically review your traffic reports to
determine the nature of your site’s visitors. If you feel that the page
impressions on your site are coming from illegitimate traffic, you should
avoid using these services in order to keep your account in good standing. If you need help logging the traffic on your site to determine the source
of your visitors, we recommend trying these Google search terms:Webmaster resources

keeping an AdSense account in good standing, located in our Help Center at

note that AdSense participants are solely responsible for verifying that
any tools or software used in conjunction with AdSense do not violate the
AdSense Terms and Conditions. For additional questions, I’d encourage you to visit the AdSense Help
