40 DC Niche Challenge-Day 3: Finding Niche and Research
After making a crazy list of ideas, I narrowed it down by doing some keyword research using online tools. I was thinking of getting Keyword Elite but I found another tool has more features. It uses Wordtracker, Keyword Discovery, and Google as it’s main database for fresh real time data on keywords and search count.
Other than that, they have 11 other useful keyword research tool and my favorite is the LSI tool. I’ll talk about this online tool later.
One more thing, did you know that Overture is dead? I think I’m gonna write an article about this later and distribute it (I already have a title for this report).
Like I said a few sentence above, I’ve canceled out ideas based on keyword research to find the right niche that I’m going to pursue in the next 37 days. There’s a principal behind selecting niches based on my readings from various ebooks and that is:…
The Lower The Supply, The Higher The Demand
Based on the research, I found a niche that is suitable for this challenge. I google the niche keyword to see if there is any competition. You want to make sure there’s a few competitors for that niche. This proves that there is a market for that keyword.
So, I’ve already selected a niche.
The next part is to do some keyword research on the niche. Find long tail keywords that has less competition, KEI more than 100, and a ratio near to 0.00. That’s what the the books are telling me what to do.
The plan is to 100% use SEO to bring in traffic. I’m not going to spend a single dollar, not 1cent on advertising.
